It’s been so long since I saw him.
The memories flash in and out, like
Sunlight through the windows of a speeding train.
All I can picture clearly now is
His smile, tugging shyly at one corner of his mouth,
His sleek black hair, shining like glass,
Falling in his eyes like night across the stars.
I have wandered far now, but
He will always be home.
Everywhere else is just temporary.
